Igniting curiosity for music.

Welcome to Rare Spark Lessons! No matter what kind of music you are interested in, you will learn the proper methods and techniques. We exist to “Ignite curiosity for music” – all music!

We offer private lessons in piano, guitar, violin, ukulele, bass, drums, flute, songwriting and production, and voice. Our lessons include components of technique, theory, composition, performance practices, and exposure to digital recording. Every quarter we have recitals and every month we have a rock band performance at Container Park. Along with these, you will be invited to participate in monthly master classes, where you will share your music with other students to gain confidence in your performing abilities. We now offer group piano lessons for beginners through the Piano Express (TM) system!

All our lessons are by appointment. Our teachers are college educated and experienced in the music industry. Your instructor will meet you wherever you are in your musical journey and help you to get to your next best level.

From the Director

I founded Rare Spark Lessons in order to create an environment where all musical genres were encouraged, practiced and performed. I enjoy preparing students for college and helping each student to master their instrument, but also believe that music education extends beyond skill development. Music serves as a means to connect with the community, offers therapeutic benefits, and is a fulfilling pursuit for hobbyists of all ages. Anyone can take lessons to make music for the joy of creating, re-creating and engaging with others in the process of making music.  I see positive changes in people’s lives because music engages every part of the brain.

The goal of all our teachers is to guide students toward competency through discovery and happiness, and work with them to spark curiosity so they can continue their own musical journeys.

I look forward to hearing from you!
